Natural Environment:

Morrazo Peninsula is a large granite block separating the Rias of Pontevedra and Vigo. From the hill-tops, the sides slope steeply towards the southern shore of the Ria de Pontevedra, characterised by a series of beaches and cliffs.


Archaeological evidences in the site:

The area of the Rias Baixas is characterised by the wealth and diversity of its prehistoric sites, and among these the open-air rock engravings are the most important and emblematic archaeological evidence.

Opening Times:

SUMMER: Closed on Mondays. From Tuesday to Sunday, from 11:30 to 13:30 and from 18:00 to 21:00. WINTER: The CIP will remain closed, but group visits (minimum 10 people) can be arranged through mail.


Booking and access:

The visit to the petroglyphs is free, but during the winter, visits to the Interpretation Centre must be booked in advance by email.
