Museographic resources description:

The Archaeological Museum of Asturias is located in the Benedictine Monastery of San Vicente, founded in 761 and with a long tradition in the history of the city. It houses a rich collection begun in the mid-19th century that reflects the evolution of archaeological research in Asturias. The exhibition has five thematic areas from prehistoric times, the Neolithic and the age of metals, the time of the castros, Rome in Asturias and the Middle Ages. Your visit brings us closer to the cultural and material contexts that represent the identity and memory of the history of Asturias.
